So far I have, Daniel Daniel Buckley born 3 May 1872 in Millstreet, Cork, Ireland form his naturalization petition. According to the "Ireland Births and Baptisms, 1620-1881", he may have been born 16 Apr 1870 in Cullin, Cork, Ireland, and christened at 675, Cullin, Cork, Ireland. This record also confirms his parents as Daniel Buckley and Ellen Hickey. This may also be a child who didn't live very long.
Daniel and Ellen have other children who were also born in Cullen, Cork, Ireland - Cornelius b 2 Apr 1868, Denis b 15 May 1873, and Michael b 3 Oct 1865. There are also references to several children of a Daniel Buckley and Ellen Hickey being christened at Rathmore with Nohaval and Kilcummin, Kerry, Ireland - Catherine c. 12 Jul 1863, Con (who may be Cornelius) c. 5 Mar 1868, Timothy c. 11 Apr 1870, and Eugene c. 10 Apr 1860. According to family knowledge and the 1900 Census we know Ellen Hickey came to the US with the following children but no husband - Eugene, Cornelius, John, Kate, and Daniel. She had had 10 children and 5 were living. There is also another Ellen Buckley in North Adams of unknown relation with a son Timothy, and 3 daughters - Minnie, Nellie, and Anne.
Daniel Daniel married Louise Noetzel, a lady tailor from Magdeburg, Germany according to census and death records. I have marriage information in North Adams, Berkshire, Massachusetts for Eugene, Kate and Daniel Daniel. I have yet to find any further information for Cornelius and John. John is rumored to have been adopted and moved out west somewhere. We have no further information on him.
